Westover maintainers save AF money and time
Tech. Sgt. Richard Towlson and Mr. Gary Surozenski check thousands of lines of code on their CAD computer that is used to give instructions to the milling machine. This computer and data put into the CAD program is the first step in building a new part for the C-5.

MSgt. Thomas Pitts, NCOIC of the 439th Maintenance Squadron's Non-destructive inspection stands over the support bracket basting in the penetrant chemicals, which will reveal any cracks or defects in the metal before being put on the C-5.

A blue-wax test model of the support bracket is being held by TSgt. Richard Towlson, assistant NCOIC of the Machine shop and at his feet is the 100 lb. block of metal, that is similar to the one used to make the bracket.
