April is the Month of the Military Child We want to let all Westover military children know how SUPER they are by sending them a personalized certificate of appreciation. We are still collecting the names of all Military children who would like to receive a certificate honoring them during April. If folks are interested in their child(ren) receiving a certificate, please send have them send their child(ren)'s name, mailing address, service member name, and unit affiliation to 439.Westover.AFRC@us.af.mil by 19 April 2019. Certificates will be mailed out by the end of April. Airman & Family Readiness will be attending the Spring Vacation Bowl at the Westover Bowling Center on Wednesday, 17 April from 11am-1:30pm with handouts, free goodies and rock painting. Bowling is available from 11am-1:30pm with $1 games, $1 shoe rental and cosmic lights will be going. Please bring your kiddos and stop in and see us!

Members of our 439th Contingency Response Flight completed another successful day of training and exercises at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. today! The 439th CRF is participating in an exercise known as Patriot Hook. Patriot Hook is an annual exercise simulating a joint military and civilian force response to a natural disaster in a forward-deployed location. (U.S. Air Force photos by Staff Sgt. Welcome back to Westover!!-- The 439th Airlift Wing hosted a Change of Command Ceremony for incoming wing commander, Col. Craig Peters, and outgoing wing commander, Brig. Gen. D. Scott Durham, April 6th at the Base Hanger. Incoming commander, Col. Peters, hails from neighboring West Springfield, Mass. and was previously stationed at Westover as a lieutenant in the early 90's.
