Westover Fire responds to Ludlow Fire

Westover’s Fire Department responded to a mutual aid structure fire in Ludlow, on Feb. 18. Westover along with fire department from Ludlow and Wilbraham responded Saturday morning at 8:25 a.m. According to Westover Fire Chief David Benedetti, the fire on White St. had started on the porch and was spreading to the rest of the house when firefighters arrived; smoke and fire were seen coming from the rear of the single-story structure. The fire was contained by 10 a.m. and the cause is being investigated by the Ludlow Fire Department and the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
