Rededication of B-52 crash Memorial Plaque at Westover Chapel
After many years the plaque was reunited with the original stain glass window at the Chapel. The stain glass window and plaque were originally in Chapel 3 on James Street but when the base closed in the 1970s the stain glass window ended up in the new chapel location in building 1100 and the plaque was misplaced. Recently a couple up in Maine found the plaque and returned it to Westover to be hung with the original stain glass window. It was dedicated by Col. Howard Clark, 439th Airlift Wing vice commander and Base Historian Dr. Hector Torres-Camacho in November 2019.
