Westover holds Dodgeball Tournament
The Marine Wing Support Squadron 472 Det. B took home first place at a dodgeball tournament Apr. 17 at the Westover Fitness Center. The Marines claimed the top spot after they defeated three other teams. Rachael Volpe and Jamie Gallivan, sports specialists at the Fitness Center, officiated the event. Volpe said her coworker Jamie was extremely excited about the tournament. “All the participants had a fun time,” she said. “We hope to make this an annual event.” The four competing teams were the MWSS 472, Marine Air Support Squadron 6, 439th Aerospace Medicine Squadron and the 439th Force Support Squadron. “The MVP for our team was Staff Sgt. Andrew Jordan,” said Senior Airman Daniel Pedretti, 439th FSS personnelist. “He was the last one standing every single time.” He said all the players had a blast and would like to play in this tournament again next year.
