Weather satellite loads up in Colorado
A 15-member crew, including a public affairs Airman, supported a recent Air Mobility Command tasking, as the Airmen departed Westover Dec. 2 for Buckley Air Force Base, Colo. Upload of a Lockheed-Martin-built weather satellite began at 4 a.m. on Dec. 4. The C-5M Super Galaxy, carrying the satellite and a large tractor-trailer and supplies took off from Buckley AFB, Dec. 4 at a gross weight of 650,000 pounds.
