Pfc. George H. Traver was killed in action on Nov. 20, 1943. His body was one of many found earlier this year in the Gilbert Islands, just off the coast of Hawaii. The Marine Air Support Squadron 6 from Westover ARB, Mass. presided over the formal military funeral ceremony and presented his nephew, David Silliman, with a United States flag in his honor.
