U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Troy Leatherman, 439th Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordnance technician, and U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Joseph Kulczyk, 914th Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordnance disposal technician, provide security during an improvised explosive device training mission in support of Patriot Warrior at Fort McCoy, Wis., June 18, 2015. Patriot Warrior is a joint exercise designed to demonstrate contingency deployment training ranging from bare base buildup to full operational capabilities. It supports Exercise Global Lightning, a Combat Support Training Exercise (CSTX) including Global Medic 15 and Quartermaster Liquid Logistics Exercise 15 (QLLEX). Over 6,500 members from U.S. service components including Air Force, Army, and Navy (Active, Guard, and Reserve) participated alongside British and Canadian forces.
