Cleared for Departure

A C-5 Galaxy departs from Westover Air Reserve Base, Chicopee, Mass. July 18th for routine training mission. The C-5 has a greater capacity than other airlifter. It has the ability to carry 36 standard pallets and 81 troops simultaneously. It can also carry outsize cargo over intercontinental ranges and can take off or land in relatively short distances.
