Final Departure from Westover

An F-15 Eagle, assigned to Barnes Air National Guard, Westfield, Mass., takes off from Westover Air Reserve Base, Chicopee, Mass., Dec. 7, 2013 heading for an annual exercise in Florida. The jets flew training missions out of Westover for approximately six months while the runway at Barnes Municipal Airport was undergoing several months of repairs, now complete. The F-15 Eagle is an all-weather, extremely maneuverable, tactical fighter designed to permit the Air Force to gain and maintain air superiority. (U.S. Air Force photo/SSgt. Kelly Goonan)
