Extinguish the Flame

Westover Firefighters extinguish simulated aircraft fires May 14, 2014. Westovers "Miss Piggy," an FAA certified training site for all airport firefighters, uses propane to simulate aircraft fires from a crash with fully involved fire to a single engine fire. The instructor can initiate about 15 different scenarios such as interior cargo fire, cockpit fire, wheel well fire, or a engine fire with running fuel dripping down. (U.S. Air Force photo by SSgt.
