Aeromedical training

A C-17 Globemaster from the 512th Airlift Wing, Dover AFB, Del., rests on the tarmac just behind the Base Hangar at Westover ARB, Mass, Aug. 11, 2014. The C-17 picked up Airmen from the 439th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron for routine training aboard the transport aircraft. Currently, aeromedical evacuation is used to transport injured troops from Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom, as well as to respond to humanitarian missions.
