Westover air show takes off

WESTOVER AIR RESERVE BASE, Mass. -- The Great New England Air Show begins today and features demonstrations from all branches of the military. Acts include the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team and the Navy's F-18 aerial demonstration team. There are also static displays of current military aircraft and the War Birds, a civilian collection World War II vintage military aircraft. Gates open at 8 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday, show starts at 9, rain or shine. The event is free and open to the public.
