Victory stroke
Lt. Col. Rene Bloomer, 439th Aeromedical Staging Squadron chief nurse, helps pull her quad team to victory at the International Masters Regatta in Princeton, N.J. She has competed all season and captured several firsts in singles, doubles and quads , often back-to-back, like the Head of the Hudson Regatta in Albany, N.Y., where she took first in the single and double race in her category. Colonel Bloomer’s weekly training regimen includes rowing up to 50 miles 25 miles biking on weekends, plus weight training. (Courtesy photo)
