One of Westover's 16 C-5's is inspected inside the isochronical inspection dock. The aircraft is pulled inside the hanger where it is gone over with a fine-tooth comb looking for any faulty components.

439th Airlift Wing
MSgt. Thomas Pitts, NCOIC of the 439th Maintenance Squadron's Non-destructive inspection stands over the support bracket basting in the penetrant chemicals, which will reveal any cracks or defects in the metal before being put on the C-5.
A blue-wax test model of the support bracket is being held by TSgt. Richard Towlson, assistant NCOIC of the Machine shop and at his feet is the 100 lb. block of metal, that is similar to the one used to make the bracket.
Blue prints being checked and re-checked by TSgt. Richard Towlson making sure the elevator support bracket is machined to the exact specifications. This newest Westover manufactured part will make the oldest C-5A in the fleet fully mission capable once again.
