The British are Flying
A Royal Air Force F2 Typhoon fighter climbs out of Westover March 31. The British aircraft was among three RAF jets that visited Westover for an overnight stay before departure to California. Westover's transient alert service, long runways, and proximity to Europe are among the reasons why foreign aircraft and those of the other American armed services frequently transit the base. Westover's transient alert staff welcomed more than 420 transient and foreign military and civilian aircraft in 2008. (photo by Tech. Sgt. Andrew Biscoe)
