Air crews fly west; deliver cargo despite volcanic ash
Major Scott Kuhrt (right, pictured as captain) and Captain Jonathan Beale pose with freshly shaved heads aboard a Westover C-5. In observance of tradition, the missions air crew shaved their heads because it was the first time several members of the crew flew on a point-to-point, around the world trip. Major Kuhrt also learned of his selection to the rank of major during the mission.
