Faces of Westover

Airman Basic Kayla Rice, a 439th Command Post controller, came to work at Westover for the first time Oct. 25. The new Airman finishe her Basic Military Training earlier this year and graduated from her six-week technical school in early October. "I really liked my technical school," Airman Rice said. "It was challenging and a good experience." She said she still has more training to complete before she will be a fully certified controller. To complete her training, she will attend the Air Mobility Command Command and Control controller course this year and will do a six-month seasoning tour here at Westover starting in January. "I really like it here at Westover so far," she said. "I like the organization, it's close to home and I plan on using my benefits to start going to college."
