Tornado's destruction
Western Massachusetts was hit hard by the June 1 tornadoes. Three tornadoes touched down in Massachusetts leaving three people dead and nearly 200 injured. The tornadoes were on the ground for a total of 39 miles and reached upwards of 160 mile-per-hour winds and received a rating of EF3 by the National Weather Service.
