SSgt. Chris Peterson is an Avionics Guidance and Control Electrician with the 439th Maintenance Squadron, Avionics Flight, who works on the navigational systems in the C-5. “I work on systems such as the Auto Pilot, flight controls, Global Positioning System, etc.” he said. Sergeant Peterson is an Air Reserve Technician who enlisted at age 17. “I have a lot of family who have been in the military and my father and grandfather were both in the Air Force,” he says. “Having such a strong family military history is a major reason why I enlisted. I guess you could say I wanted to follow in their footsteps.” When he isn't working, he enjoys riding around on his Yamaha R6 and playing recreational sports such as softball and flag football.
