The Massachusetts Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve recently presented the Patriot Award to Robert Brown, a supervisor at the Yankee Candle Company, for his support of the Westover and Air Force Reserve mission.

Brown was nominated for the award by his employee, SMSgt. Craig Savoie, 58th Aerial Port Squadron. The award was presented during a "Thank You" luncheon hosted by Yankee Candle in celebration of the success of a new production line. During the luncheon, Jim Scott, plant manager and former recipient of the Patriot Award, talked about the value their Reserve employees bring to the company.

ESGR is a Department of Defense office established in 1972 to develop and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve service.
