Five Questions with…Diane Piquette – 439th Airlift Wing's First Ever Woman Comptroller

Introducing Ms. Dianne Piquette.  On April 7, 2024 she will be come the first ever woman comptroller at Westover Air Reserve Base.

Q: Where are you from, and where do you currently live, and where are you from? 

A: I grew up in South Hadley, Mass., and I now live in Granby, Mass.

Q: What is your job at Westover?

A: I will be promoted to Comptroller as of April 7, 2024. I have worked in the wing's budget office since April 2001, before moving up to Budget Officer.

Q: How did you get started in this career field, when did you arrive at Westover, how long have you worked for the Air Force?

A: I joined the Air Force Reserve in February 1991.  I worked as a traditional Reservist and civilian for 10 years, reaching the rank of tech sergeant.  I moved from the Wing Commander’s Secretary job into the finance office, because I felt like I could make a difference for the members of Westover (by working in finance.)

Q: What are your professional goals for your program here at Westover?

A: To execute and maximize funding, and ensure members are paid timely and correctly.

Q: Fun fact(s)?

A: I love traveling with my husband, Paul, and spending time with family.
