What started as an informal dinner prepared and served at the former Chapel spaces in Building 1100, grew into a weeknight meal for members of the Westover extended family. At its peak, over 200 meals were served weekly by volunteers to uniformed members and family, retirees, and civilian employees.

With the change from the Pioneer Valley USO to the New England USO in 2022, the cessation of the Monday night meals was part of the realignment of services offered, to fall more in line with national and regional customer service guidelines.

Not to despair though. The Westover Galaxy Community Council will be sponsoring a new-look dinner in January 2024 every other Monday at the Westover Club. More details will be posted next month.

The Patriot Wing thanks the USO for the many years of weekly dinner service and the on-going support for all men and women in uniform.
