WESTOVER AIR RESERVE BASE, Mass. -- On Thursday, December 7, Westover ARB hosted visitors from the Roosevelt Group and the Massachusetts Military Asset and Security Strategy Task Force, to showcase the Patriot Wing’s versatility and viability.
Kathleen Ferguson and Lt. General (retired) James Jackson from TRG, along with John Beatty, MASS-TF Executive Director, toured the airfield and Dogpatch to learn about proposed construction projects as well as current capabilities. The visit also a working lunch as well as discussions with 439 AW senior leaders about the creative and joint efforts that are positioning Westover to meet training needs for the “future fight”.
TRG is a consulting company on contract with The Commonwealth of Massachusetts to advocate for all military installations that reside within The Commonwealth. MASS-TF works to expand the number of missions, spur job creation, and protect economic investments at Massachusetts' six military installations and their surrounding communities.
All three visitors have extensive government service experience. Beatty is a retired Army lieutenant colonel, Ferguson worked for 35 years in the Air Force at all levels - including Senior Executive Service and Jackson is a former Air Force Reserve Commander.
