If you have flown out of Westover once before, you have more than likely met the men and women of the 42nd Aerial Port Squadron!
APS Airmen, also known as “Port Dawgs,” are responsible for all management and movement of passengers and cargo transported through airlift. The squadron deploys trained and mission-ready personnel and serviceable equipment to provide augmentation or stand-alone aerial port operations at ports of embarkation/debarkation or unit-move locations.
The major sections of the unit include the air transportation operations center and Load planning, Ramp Services, Cargo Processing, Special Handling, and Passenger Services.
The diverse and inclusive Citizen-Airmen of the Port regularly support full-spectrum operations in any environment!
