WESTOVER AIR RESERVE BASE, Mass. -- The 439th Aircraft Maintenance Group performs on-equipment maintenance support to maintain the health of eight assigned C-5M aircraft enabling the fleet to meet operations training requirements and strategic airlift mission taskings.
The unit primarily performs flight line tasks including daily mission launch and recovery, pre- and post-flight inspections, maintenance troubleshooting, aircraft systems repair, and minor modifications.
These dedicated Citizen Airmen maintainers work 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to maintain the reliability and safety of the Westover C-5M fleet ensuring we are always ready to provide rapid global mobility.
