WESTOVER AIR RESERVE BASE, Mass. -- Aircrew from the Rhode Island National Guard and The Connecticut National Guard fly four C130 Hercules during a multi-element flight lead training mission, Nov. 26, 2019, Quonset Air National Guard Base, North Kingstown, R.I. The aircrew flew from Rhode Island to a drop zone at Westover Air Reserve Base, Mass. and performed airdrops in a formation. This training allowed pilots to learn to lead and command large numbers of aircraft in formation to achieve rapid delivery of equipment in a short amount of time.
