Cpl. Mark Kornacki from the Hampden Country Corrections Department, trains recruit Daniel Dowd at Westover Air Reserve Base on his first training day. Some 52 people began training April 1, as shouts echoed across the Wing Headquarters parking lot.

“Get back in your car!”

“Drop and give me twenty pushups.”

The ten-week course concludes June 7. Most of the training will occur at Westover, with a few trips to Hampden County facilities.
