Westover hosts military honors for fallen Marine Published May 21, 2010 439 AW Public Affairs WESTOVER AIR RESERVE BASE, Mass. -- -- More than 300 people, including family and friends of Sgt. Joshua Desforges, gathered on the Base Ellipse at Westover Air Reserve Base Friday to honor the fallen Ludlow, Mass., Marine. Visitors who also paid their respects included Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, Sen. Scott Brown, and Congressman Richard Neal. Sergeant Desforges, 23, was killed last week while serving in Afghanistan. Before joining the Marines in 2004, the sergeant was part of the Westover Young Marines. He grew up in Ludlow.
