The Westover Fitness Center offers a new line-up of fitness programs for military members to get in shape and have a good time doing it.

The new regimens offer Airmen a chance to compete against themselves, workout with others or just fine tune their performance for the new fitness standards.

The Four Feats of Endurance program gives participants to run, bike, row or stair climb their way to a set goal. Individuals can sign up for one or all events and then perform the exercise to reach the goal and win a prize.

The center is also conducting mock fitness tests using the new fitness standards each Tuesday and Thursday morning at 6 a.m. for those who want to measure their progress and see how they will perform on their next PT test.

Another option available to Patriot Wing members is circuit training on Saturdays of both August UTAs at 6 a.m. and a Poker Run on Sunday of both UTAs at the same time.

Circuit training involves going through a rotation of different exercises and for a poker run, runners go from one station to the next and collect playing cards to make the best poker hand.

For more information on these events, contact the fitness center at 413-557-3958 or visit www.westoverservices.com/Fitness.html.
