Westover Fun Run Published March 18, 2011 By Airman 1st Class Alexander Brown 439 AWPA WESTOVER, Mass. -- As the fog burned off the flight line, more than 50 people gathered around the Westover Fitness center preparing for the St. Patrick's Day 5K Fun Run here March 17. William Craig said this was his first run since a recent surgery, and he was using the run to get back into shape. Other runners included Marines, Army, civilian and Air force. The race began around 8 a.m. in front of the Fitness Center. All racers showed their support of the holiday by wearing green. With the blink of an eye and the shout of "3, 2, 1 GO," the racers were off. The 5K route led the racers to the "dog patch" area and back again. The top three finishing males and females received awards.
