As a part of Arbor Day, base officials planted a tree April 29 in front of the Military Entrance Processing Station. The tree is an ongoing Westover effort to be recognized as a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation. “The Air Force and Westover ARB have always worked to be responsible stewards of the federal land entrusted to our care,” said Col. John Healy, 439th Airlift Wing vice commander. “Arbor Day is an excellent way to let the people of Westover and the local community know how much we value the environment in which we live.” (US Air Force photo/Senior Airman Alexander Brown)
