Tornado Assistance: Where to donate Published June 7, 2011 By Senior Airman Charles Hutchinson IV 439 AW/PA WESTOVER, Mass. -- Monetary donations as well as volunteer requests are being accepted by the Salvation Army and the American Red Cross to help victims of the June 1 tornado. You can contact The Salvation Army to donate toward ongoing tornado relief in Massachusetts, which can be made on-line at salvationarmy-ma.org or through the Salvation Army's Text-to-Give number. A $10 minimum donation can be made by texting the word TSAMA10 to 85944. Donations may also be mailed to: The Salvation Army 25 Shawmut Road, Canton, Mass., 02021 Attention: Mass. Tornado Relief. Donations of water and non-perishable food items are also needed and can be placed at The Salvation Army Corps, Service Centers or Family Stores in the affected areas of Western MA including Springfield Corp. at 170 Pearl St., Springfield Family Shops 665 Liberty St., 840 Boston Rd. or in Westfield at 223 E.
