Patriot Wing CFC donations surge past $31,000 Published Nov. 22, 2011 By 439th AW Public Affairs 439th AW Public Affairs WESTOVER AIR RESERVE BASE, MAss. -- -- The 439th Airlift Wing is on the final stretch of the 2011 Combined Federal Campaign. The campaign began Sept. 1 and ends Dec. 15. Last year's goal for the wing was $45,000, and members donated $49,056. This year the base has set a goal of $50,000, and as of late November raised more than $31,000, according to Robert Perreault, CFC coordinator. The CFC promotes philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all. CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 200 campaigns throughout the country and internationally to help raise millions of dollars each year. Pledges made by federal, civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season support eligible nonprofit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.
