Aerial Porters provide OUTSTANDING performance during Air Force exercise Published July 24, 2012 By 439th Airlift Wing Public Affairs WESTOVER AIR RESERVE BASE, Mass. -- Seven 42nd Aerial Port Squadron Airmen have been recognized for outstanding service during the recent GLOBAL MEDIC 2012 exercise held in June. These Airmen were part of a provisional air expeditionary wing with over 250 Airmen in two groups located at Reno ANGB, Nev. and Schoonover Field, Calif., Earning a Top Performer Award for exceptional service during this deployment and training exercise are: MSgt. Matthew Fairman TSgt. Jeff Szymanski SSgt. Dylan Galland SSgt. Stephen Frost SrA. Ariel Soto SrA. Bartlomiej Orzol SrA. Jorge Amaya-Espinosa Global Medic is the Air Force Command's premier joint theater aeromedical evacuation exercise and a high-visibility event that requires the voluntary contributions of sharp Airmen. These men and women worked to maintain wing processes despite challenging conditions, training exercises, and simulated wartime scenarios. Long duty hours, excellent planning, and positive attitude aided in accomplishing over 2,500 training man-hours while moving over 100 patients and five tons of cargo in the area of responsibility.
