    Just 24 hours after landing at Balad at 3 a.m. for a four-month deployment, Master Sgt. Robert Preble found himself airborne again -- as a mental health escort for a 21-year-old Army soldier who had become suicidal. Mental health personnel at the Air Force Theater Hospital at Balad determined the soldier needed the higher-level-treatment available

    New Year brings heavy deployments at Westover

    About 200 reservists of the 439th Airlift Wing began deploying this month to the Middle East in support of the Global War on Terrorism. The deploying Airmen are scheduled to serve four-to-six month tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. They represent about 10 percent of the 439th Airlift Wing reservists and will be the largest group of Wing members
