Orange over Westover
WESTOVER AIR RESERVE BASE, Mass. -- The changing fall colors and a LC-130 Hercules with its orange tail marking light up a New England afternoon at Westover. The Hercules aircrews from the 109th Airlift Wing, Scotia, N.Y., regularly conduct flight training over Western Massachusetts. Westover's excellent airfield includes two long runways and spacious parking areas for transient aircraft. The base's strategic location makes it an ideal stopover point for scores of military aircraft flying missions in support of Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt.
