10/11/2012 - WESTOVER AIR RESERVE BASE, Mass. --  -- Reservists reporting this weekend to the October A Unit Training Assembly will notice the Base Ellipse aircraft models lit up in a hue of purple.

The base is participating in the Purple Light Night campaign in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness month. Domestic violence impacts every community -- to includes ours here at the base. The objective of the purple light display is to honor the victims who lost their lives to DV. This campaign is our continued commitment to support survivors as they rebuild their lives and give hope to those still living in abuse.

For more information on the Purple Light Night, visit www.purplelightnights.org, or call 413-557-2623.
