African American Heritage Month

African American History Month, also referred to as Black History Month, is celebrated every February. In observance of the month, the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) developed a poster that homage to Soldiers from A Company, 452nd Anti-Aircraft Artillery, one of the U.S. Army’s Black-only combat units which served during WWII.

439th SFS to hold National Suicide Prevention Month 10K Ruck March

The 439th Security Forces Squadron is hosting a 10k Ruck March to commemorate National Suicide Prevention Month on September 25, starting at 4 p.m. It will start in Westover's Dog Patch training area and end at the Westover Metropolitan Airport. Members who wish to participate should have a minimum of 20 pounds in their packs. Uniform for this event will be ABU/OCP. This event is open to all base military and civilian personnel. Alpha Warrior shows strength at Westover

The 439th Force Support Squadron hosts its first Alpha Warrior Competition at the Westover fitness center this September UTA. The Air Force wide program is a state-of-the-art obstacle course designed to enhance morale, agility, and strength.

Women’s Equality Day Observance 2019

An observance to commemorate the 99th anniversary of women winning the right to vote in the United States will be held at 2 p.m. on August 26th in the lobby of building 1850 on Westover Air Reserve Base.In 1973, the U.S. Congress designated August 26th as ‘Women’s Equality Day’ to commemorate the 1920 ratification of the 19th amendment to the U.S.
