A Commander's Eagle!

On Dec 19 Lt. Col. Holly Hermes, 439th Force Support Squadron commander was promoted to colonel in an afternoon ceremony at the Westover Conference Center. Presided over by Colonel Brandon Stepp, out-going 439th Mission Support Group commander, the event was attended by family, friends and fellow Citizen Airmen. Hermes' extended family is no stranger to military service. Her father and sister are retired Army colonel and lieutenant colonel respectively, and her father in law is a retired Air Force major general. The FSS commander since Jan 2021, Hermes will be departing Westover this coming Feb to assume duties with HQ Civil Air Patrol. (Photos by Mr. William Pope, DAF)
