Colonel Jordan Murphy

Colonel Jordan E. Murphy is the Commander of the 439th Maintenance Group, 439th Airlift Wing, Westover Air Reserve Base, Massachusetts. As the senior Air Reserve Technician, Colonel Murphy leads approximately 550 Airmen and Department of the Air Force civilians in supporting the wing’s missions. The Maintenance Group’s role is to ensure operational readiness of eight C-5M aircraft and associated equipment enabling global mobility operations. He is responsible for retention and career motivation of personnel, also equipment, environmental programs and budget.

Colonel Murphy graduated from the Air Force ROTC program at Daniel Webster College in 1996. He has held a variety of positions in munitions, aircraft and missile maintenance at the squadron, group and center levels. He transitioned to the Air Force Reserve in 2011 and was a student in the Air War College’s 2019 graduating class.
